Interfaith Art as EcoSocial Justice Action

April 27 @ 10:00 am - 1:00 pm

Dr. Cara Judea Alhadeff will share the intersectional work of her new nonprofit: Radical Art in Action. This audience-participatory event will delve into the interconnections between our personal lives and global politics and how we can collaboratively create more holistic and just alternatives to the Anthropocene in our everyday lives. She will highlight Zazu Dreams: Between the Scarab and the Dung Beetle, A Cautionary Fable for the Anthropocene Era cross-cultural, climate justice-through-alternative economies book and animated film adaptation, The Love Bus: Beauty & Waste In the Face of Climate Crisis (youtube.com), creative, affordable housing: her family’s eco-art converted school bus home–using 100% reclaimed materials, and S.O.U.L. (Shared Opportunity Used Local) Commons that supports mutual aid economies and gift economies through the local free store she and her partner created for their community.
