Summary:
During the triple pandemic of climate crisis, racism / ethnic cleansing, and covid-19 we have become increasingly aware of the world that does not work for the majority of the planet. We long for inspiration and grounded strategies which embody alternatives. At Earth House Center, we have initiated the Random Kindness Community Resilience Leadership award as a way to focus attention on embodied solutions for the most pressing issues of our time.
Join us to honor Cara Judea Alhadeff’s reception of the award for her life-long commitment to human rights, environmental justice, and art activism. South African cleric and human rights’ activist Desmond Tutu was the first recipient of the award in 2015.
Past recipients include Indian scholar, food sovereignty advocate, environmental activist, and anti-globalization author, Vandana Shiva and Director of the NAACP Environmental and Climate Justice Program, Jacqui Patterson.
